Background:
I ran across the original version of this song on YouTube a while back and was so inspired by the discovery that I took the time to figure out the chord progression.
Now just in case there are other doting, guitar playing parents out there who'd like to perform this song for their little ones I'm also including the tablature below. Blogspot was giving me grief when I originally posted the tablature to my blog, because the application doesn't like multiple spaces in a row and was ignoring them. So I had to post it as an image.
I'm feeling a bit lazy at the moment and will have to include it as text later when I get a chance. In the meantime here's the image with the chord progression and lyrics.
My daughter loves to hear this song played, either by me or the original version - it doesn't seem to matter which. And it's a joy to behold. Being able to watch her dance around the lounge room to something I grew up with is just priceless - and the fact I'm providing the music is even better still.
